This workshop is suitable for 12 participants
This 8-week Textiles/Crafts course is for participants who have been affected by or know someone who has been affected by cancer and will be delivered from Thursday 3rd April – 29th May 2025, from 10am – 12:30pm. This course will be facilitated by Nancy Moreland from Nifty Needles
Please note that in these sessions, there will be group discussions relating to sensitive issues and topics, associated with cancer. Participants will be sharing personal stories within a safe and open environment, relating to how their lives have been impacted by cancer.
Each class session will have comprehensive handouts of templates, tutorials, patterns and materials which will be taught during the class session so the participants (with guidance, support and tuition) can design and make their own piece which will be displayed for an exhibition at the end of the course. Alongside the finished Art piece, each participant will have a stitching journal which they have created during the course which shows their journey in deciding on their finished piece
